you've had scripts optioned, but not made...
you get movies made, but, in typical fashion, *they* think they can re-write/re-work it without you.
the results are dismal at best.
once, once more into the fray.
what? NO notes, mr. producer? everyone you've had read it - loves it?
you see this as my vision? you're handing over the directing reins to me?
that actually was my yesterday...
of course now, the screaming starts (and the sleeping ends).
tooting my own horn, yeah but also saying:
KEEP THE FAITH, BROTHERS & SISTERS
and keep on writing...

Re: the screenwriter's dream...
Tue, June 5, 2007 - 10:44 AMit's about 88 pages....
sorry.
ahh, actually it's the ill-gotten gains of a misspent youth watching too much 1970's euro-sleaze. just discovered soledad miranda which brought me back to the ouevre of jesus franco. i'm making a nunsploitation flick with some women-in-prison aspects and the garish colors and weirdness of argento (well, i'm gonna try) mixed with (hopefully) a cast of suicide girls and/or SG wanna-be's.
high brow art essentially... -

Thu, June 7, 2007 - 10:13 PMLove Franco's work, especially when he cast his lover, the sexy, feral Lina Romay.
Check her out as a lascivious lesbian in Franco's "Ilsa: The Wicked Warden," in which she repeats the memorable, quotable line: "Lick my culo!" -

Re: the screenwriter's dream...
Fri, June 8, 2007 - 4:35 AMbut -- really -- stop when he starts shooting on video. his 90's stuff is ... a waste of tape. tried to get through 'lust for frankenstein' last night. eee-gah!
