SYNOPSIS: HARLEM RAGES IN DODGE CITY
In 2007, Harlem New York is plagued by black on black crimes, led by big BO NICKELS and his young, fierce ruffians. Mayor GRANT WOODS orders Detective Sergeant DAN FIELDS to bring big Bo and his gang to justice.
It’s early darn. Sgt. Fields and six detectives pull a surprise raid on big Bo’s Harlem apartment. After breaking down the door and gaining entry into the darken apartment, big Bo and his cohorts open fire on the barging detectives. Sgt. Fields and his team return fire upon the dashing hoods. When the smoke clears, big Bo and all of his crime syndicate, including two women, lie on the floor mortally wounded and later their bodies are removed to the morgue.
In the morgue a miraculous event occurs. In a quantum leap phenomenon, the bodies of big Bo and his gang regress back to 1875 – bloody Dodge City. After eluding wild Indians and Cowboys’ gunfights, Bo and his gang receive a cold reception from Dodge’s citizens. For their own safety, Marshal CLEM TATE relocate the frighten Harlem youths to an abandoned covered wagon on the outskirt of town.
Back to the future, inside New York City Hall, Mayor Woods is presenting meritorious awards to Sgt. Fields and his detectives when a loud explosion is heard as the roof caves in on the mayor and the detectives. Ultimately, Mayor Woods and the detectives are killed in a terrorist blast. Their charred remains are later removed to the morgue.
In the morgue a miraculous event occurs. In a quantum leap phenomenon, the bodies of Mayor Woods and the detectives regress back to 1875 – bloody Dodge City.
After eluding wild Indians and Cowboys’ fights, the mayor and his group walk into a Dodge Saloon where they receive a hearty welcome.
After discovering that big Bo and his pals are also in Dodge City, both parties learn that white on white crimes are equally as violent as that complained of in Harlem New York in the 21st century.
Sometime later a racial incident shakes and divides the citizenry of Dodge City. A white woman falsely accuses two of Bo’s pals are raping her. But even after Marshal Tate and his marshal kill the real rapists, two white gunslingers, still, yet another fierce gunslinger, ONE EYE-BEN, and his thirty hooligans vow to string-up all of the Harlem youths.
Just before dawn a monstrous gunfight is about to erupt. As One-Eye Ben and his goons entered Dodge City, unknown to them, they’re about to encounter one of the fiercest creature the West has ever known, Big NAT KING and his WICHITA BRUTES.

Re: HARLEM RAGES IN DODGE CITY
Wed, October 24, 2007 - 2:16 PMI'd like to ask Cabal members to participate in an informal poll.
Max, who posted above, intermittently posts his latest synopses on the board here, which he has done for years. He never participates in discussion. He never responds to replies posted by other members. He never responds to my messages asking him to please consider participating in discussion.
i don't consider self-promotion to be a form of conversation, which is the entire purpose, as I see it, of the boards.
How do the rest of you feel about it? Should I delete his postings? Should I kick him out of the tribe? Should I ignore him?
Any ideas or comments are welcome. -

Re: HARLEM RAGES IN DODGE CITY
Wed, October 24, 2007 - 2:42 PMIt's rather spam-ish, totally unprofessional and yet somewhat amusing, this kind of post. The most annoying part, IMO, is his picture-less, friend-less account, which means he just trolls here randomly, hoping for some kind of "hit." Otherwise I see no reason to delete - it'll just disappear down the list of threads into threadoblivion.
Oh, and I actually found this kind of funny: "Big NAT KING and his WICHITA BRUTES."

Re: HARLEM RAGES IN DODGE CITY
Wed, October 24, 2007 - 6:44 PMI think a certain amount of self-promotion by any regular member of the group is probably fine.
But that implies you're someone who participates in discussions, etc.
Somebody who only posts adverts for their work is spamming us, and I'd favor deleting the posts.

Re: HARLEM RAGES IN DODGE CITY
Thu, October 25, 2007 - 2:12 PMI thought maybe this was post your most ridiculous idea for a treatment thread... yet somehow I could actually picture this getting made.
I say let it stand for humor value alone...
I would like to hear others' critique on this as well, not that it would do Max any good if he never checks back... maybe we could all email him notes on his treatment to that email address? heh heh -

Re: HARLEM RAGES IN DODGE CITY
Thu, October 25, 2007 - 3:39 PMI wouldn't presume to offer notes unless I was an "interested producer ready to sponsor and produce a film based upon the above screenplay. "
